Albert

Debois

Belgian

1938 -

Albert Debois

Painter, sculptor, and engraver, Albert Debois was born in Antwerp, Belgium.

In his creations, Debois uses original and precious materials: canvas and aluminum, yellow copper, polychrome wood, as well as multicolored plexiglass.

In 1973, Debois turned to graphic art with the architectural construction of “rooms”, strict and structured spaces corresponding to fields of tension where phantasmagorical beings evolve. These draped figures show a tendency to sculptural and are transformed into little robot beings, into some furniture, preferably an armchair or a decorative element, such as for example, a spiral staircase.
